It was a weekday so we decided to have it in the weekend.
We organized a potluck which everyone contributed a dish or two.
I baked a huge heart shaped butter walnut cake for Moing.

I organized a small birthday do for my beloved hubby by inviting his FOP friends and closed family members.
My hubby's birthday is on the 29 April but it was on a Thursday so I shifted the party to 30 April instead so everyone could make it.
30 April also coincided with my kids' sports day.
And I have a delivery (cheese cupcakes) to make at Wisma Sabah as well.
After dropping off my hubby and kids, I drove to KK market to buy items to cook for the party.

My mum in law also helped me to cook some dishes.
The party was a blast.

My SIL, Bobbie, celebrated her birthday on the 15 April.
We had a small do for her.
Prior to her birthday, I booked her just to make sure she didn't have any plans.
I recently bought a 6" round pan to accompany my 9" and 13" round pans.
I baked chocolate cake for this occasion and decided to make it 2-tiered which was also my first attempt.
Oh boy, it wasn't easy.
But I made it.
Though I my icing wasn't that impressive.

Since I bought many flowers cutter during my recent trip to KL, I forced myself to do the fondant recipe. No wonder people charge more if you opt for fondant icing as it is tedious to do! I have to agree that deco with fondant is better there using buttercream icing. Its pliable, smooth texture and easy to cut.

Finally

Finally, after many hesitations, I finally finally upload a new blog on my cake and cupcakes. I bake and since I am doubtful about my tastebuds, I kindly ask my dear friends and families to give me their comments. I will upload cakes which I have done in the past. Enjoy!
